Crispus Attucks Charter School would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended our 2024 Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the outstanding achievements of our students. The event was a true testament to the hard work and dedication shown by our graduates throughout their academic journey.

The graduation commenced with the honorable entry of our administration, platform guests, esteemed faculty and staff, followed by a special recognition of our honor graduates and graduates. It was a moment filled with pride and anticipation as we prepared to acknowledge the accomplishments of our graduating class.

The program was a meticulously curated sequence of events, starting with opening remarks that set the tone for the day’s celebrations. The recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and Mission Statement by Timothy Hoke and Emilian Montoute resonated with the spirit of unity and purpose that defines our charter school.

The warm Welcome Address delivered by Laura Metheny, Thomas Brown, and Angel Martinez, respectively, added a touch of grace and inspiration to the proceedings. The introductions and recognitions that followed highlighted the exceptional talents and contributions of our students, faculty, and special guests.

Big Thanks to the City of York Mayor Michael Helfrich for showing up in person to support our CACS graduates, Keynote Speaker Jerell Simms, alongside Rep. Carol Hill-Evans and Dr. George Fitch from the York City School District, shared words of wisdom and encouragement with the graduating class. The message from the CEO and the presentation of Americorps recognitions underscored the importance of service and commitment to the community.

The ceremony continued with the acknowledgment of various certifications, awards, and achievements, including the HBI PACT Certifications, Attendance Awards, Construction Award, Turnaround Awards, Perseverance Awards, Leadership Awards, and Keys of Success Awards. The Warren Moody Best of the Best Award, presented by Jacqueline Martino-Miller and Marcia Scott, recognized excellence and dedication in our student body.

Special recognition was given to individuals who excelled in community service, exemplified by Eric Group and Michael MacDougall receiving the Sonny Simpson Community Service Award. The Honor Graduates, including David Newby, Maria Fuentes, Timothy Hoke, Derek Daniel, and others, were celebrated for their outstanding academic performance and commitment to excellence.

The ceremony culminated in the presentation of diplomas by Louise, marking the official transition of the 2024 graduating class. It was a moment of triumph and joy as we witnessed the bright futures awaiting our graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
